That sounds like the relay for the cab power is not tripping in,check the back of the ignition switch that no wires are off or loose,when the key is switched on the relay should trip in,it can be that its failed or not getting power to engage it etc,to find it is not easy,I usually take out the instrument cluster taking care to unplug it properly and leave it to one side,you need a strong light,the relay is in the fuse box area,there is a drawing of it at the online parts site,links are not allowed here so Google casece online parts and you will find it.
