The frost plug or core plug as it is commonly called is not threaded in,they are an interference fit and just tapped into place idea being that the coolant should it freeze can push them out,if they were threaded in that could not happen,looking at parts catalogue it shows the block to have five core plugs all 1.75" diameter,there is a drain plug that was screwed in on the L/H side,some had a valve,you will need an extractor to get either out if they broke off.
