I purchased a Case 580D. It's a 1982 4 wheel drive. I was told to put a special kind of hydraulic oil in the hydraulic system for the backhoe and in the rear end. I'm also told that a all together different hydraulic oil goes in the transmission. The dipstick says to put oil in it but only pints and doesn't say what kind. I have read in this forum that people have put motor oil or gear oil in it and the results weren't too good, so what I need to know is, What exactly is the type or kind of hydraulic oil that goes into that transmission?? Thanks Mike
