The early 580K was similar machine to the 580SE, it had the Borg Warner shuttle and Case transaxle,the series 2 had a Carraro transaxle/shuttle and torque,with inboard oil immersed brakes,the solenoid for the clutch cutout on the Borg Warner is on the left side of the shuttle and fits over the control valve,looking up it looks like a coke can on its side,if you got a Carraro it is on top of the control valve which is on top of the transmission housing accessed through a plate on the cab floor,there are other differences as well to the hydraulics electrics etc.
