I have a 1966 Case 580CK Backhoe. It has a shuttle shift but it's not hydraulic. It will not stay in forward gear. After removing the top and looking at the shifting forks, I realize the synchronizer gears are rounded off but not broken off. Do you have to split the case to remove the shaft that the synchronizer is on? (written by Rita- hope you understand!) Thank you for any help you can give us!
