these can be quite difficult to remove - usually continue hitting the edge of the king pin & try to get it to move by twist motion, hit it one way then the other - put some penetrating oil in through swivel housing - I usually drive a couple of old screwdivers under the flange, 180 deg apart - hit & twist - keep perservering they will come!
