Cannot remove the lower swivel housing caps (4x4), top caps slipped off easly, I think they were originally assembled without grease and now froze up. Any tips?

Auction rig, front drive shaft missing and pinion shaft broken off. Need to disassemble whole front diff to replace parts but lower swivel caps seem to be frozen on. Unable to rebuild diff without removing axles.
all parts avaliable, just need a little info - I hate to use heat on the cast iron, Thanks, Dick T.
