I think I may have somewhat of the same problem. I have a 1977 580C 2wd and I was digging a stump over the weekend and noticed I had a fitting leak where the supply line for the backhoe boom connects to the valve. I unhooked the line at the valve and checked it over for cracks or holes and retightened. Leak stopped but now my boom will not stay up. Very little pressure down or up and drops immeadiatly when I let off the stick. All other aspects of the backhoe circuit works fine and the front loader has good power?? ANy thoughts??
