Not sure how old this question is but if you are still having problems then it may be worth checking out the mesh screen in the cav-dpa injection pump. Follow the fuel line where it leaves the 2nd filter and enters the injection pump vertically. Disconnect the pipe, open the large nut and remove. Inside there is a fine filter mesh that can get blocked and starve the pump, leading to airlocks and ultimately damage to the injection pump itself.
Removing the mesh is a bit fiddly, a small index finger might do it or carefully priseing it up(without damaging it!) with a small flat head screwdriver, removing the spring sitting in the mesh first. There is a small plug sitting inside the spring, be careful not to loose this, it may stay in the mesh or come with the spring. Keep an eye on the orientation of everything as you remove the bits. Also at times the regulating mechanism under this mesh filter can stick to it and come out with the mesh which is a pain. If this happens, you will have to use a slightly magnetised screwdriver to pick out the spring at the bottom to ensure it's sitting correctly after re-assembly. If you look at page 2 of the following link(and the "table page") you should be able to follow the sequence in putting it back together using clean grease to keep everything in place when re-assembling. Note:the pump in the link may not be exactly the same but the piece we're interested in is.
