first off, i am a newbie to diesel fuel systems, i just bought this tractor two months ago, so i am learning.
Edit:::sorry in advance if i seem to be long winded, but i want to be as thorough as possible

i did a general search of the fuel problems and wondered if anyone else has any suggestions.
first off the problem started when unbeknownst to me, the 90 deg elbow on one of my fuel tanks started to leak, {two tanks connected by a tube on the bottom}therefore, i ran it out of fuel.
did a temporary patch with a new rad hose piece and bled it , got it running.[ i have since changed both 90 deg bends with new ones.]
now.... i am having problems with what seems to be air locks, i bleed the system and do not seem to have any troubles gettingthe air out and the engine running, but, after a hour or so, it dies and when i open the single bleed screw on the fuel filters, there seems to be air in the filters, after much fiddling,[ i am getting better at it}| i get diesel coming out of the filter, snug that up, then the injector pump two bleed screws and on to the injectors of which i crack one or two then get it started again. all seems fine til an hour or so later when it dies again!

now, i have two new filters which i wanted to make sure that all was well before changing them,( old filters should have just over 100 hrs on them from what service stickers i have found on the tractor).
all lines to the filters are snug and look good.
there is lots of fuel in the tanks ( it appeared to die once when i was on a slight side slant away from the feed tank and died twice when i was on a steep forward slant so i just kept pouring the diesel in and have 30 gallons in now.)
after reading this forum, the only things that i can see are to change th filters now and to check the filler cap to see if the vent is blocked

any other suggestions????
