lever on side is a decompressor lever used to keep ex valves open to make servicing it turn easier. Looks like you have a plain dry clutch tractor in spite of hood, i SEE a clutch inspection plate on left side instead of a hyd valve used on case-o matic. As for oil you need to change pronto with case tch----atf or hy trans oil, Capacity of hyd an trans is 18gal, Later tractors had common sump but i think yours might have seperate hyd sump at rear of tractor. Total capacity is still 18gal. If i am wrong an your tractor as case-o matic that has seperate sump an holds 4 gal. There is a filter on right side if it has one. Filter for hyd is at rear under pto shaft, 3 bolts on its cap.
