Thanks for your response - and patience, AJ. As I said before, I only know enough about this to be dangerous.
Anyway, please correct any of the following info if I have misunderstood what I have:
Mine, I think, is a manual shuttle, and it appeared to me that the bell housing was meant to be dry. For one reason, there is a snap-in access plug on the right side, which I can't imagine would hold any fluid inside the bell housing. There is also another access panel on the left side with two bolts that didn't appear to ever have been gasketed, and the metal is too thin to retain a good seal. It was in running condition when I took it apart, and it was bone dry. There was a crescent shaped gasket that fit the bottom of the bell housing included in the pack I bought, but I figured it was to keep out dirt. I made a piece of sheet metal to fit, as the bottom of the flywheel had no cover, and was exposed when I bought it.

Is it possible some CK's have a dry bell housing, or that I don't even have a CK and I misinterpreted the serial number?
