I am trying to restore a 580 CK, and admit I don't know enough about it. I am learning as I go.
I replaced the (rebuilt)clutch pack and everything works great - except it was throwing huge amounts of oil into the flywheel, which slung it out of the bell housing.
My (stupid) question is: Does oil need to go through the clutch shaft only in an auto? I don't see what the point or function is.
How do I stop this, and what caused it?
Thank you much,
Matt
