Is this problem in both directions, will the machine stand still in gear with the shuttle in neutral and the brakes off does it seem to labour more in one direction, there are a few things that can be wrong, first check that the wiring to the solenoid is good and that includes the ground as well as the power, see the solenoid is tight, the plunger that the solenoid pushes is spring load to stay in the drive position,if the plunger is jammed or the solenoid is not getting enough power to move the plunger or maybe its gone weak.
