I just replaced the seals in my 430 Case. It has the military style cylinders according to the local dealer. I had to completely pull the front end out from under the tractor to get this done. Once out, remove the ball joint cup half from the end of the cylinder by unscrewing the adjuster. then remove the pivot pin from the pivot plate between the two cylinders and the tie rods ends from the plate. Pry it to one side away from the cylinder you want to remove then pry the cylinder forward and up to get the swivel mounting bolt to clear the frame. Raise the end of the cylinder to remove from ball.
The new wiper, seal and lock ring are easier and quicker to replace than just getting the cylinder out. By the way, the lock ring is accessed through the hose fitting opening.
