By mechanical gauges you mean with tubes going to them instead of wires,the problem you might come up against is the thread size in the engine,I looked at the online parts list it does not say the thread size of any of the sender units so you will have to have a measure up,I think it would be less trouble to repair what you got but everyone to thier own.
