My 680C has a 301 diesel engine and the mechanical tachometer is not working.I cannot get the drive cable core out of the engine block. Doe's anyone know the correct procedure to remove it? I do not want to get in a situation where I may end up with the core broken off in the drive mechanisim that is in the engine block.
