That sounds like you have no power at the ignition switch,check the main battery cable,the power to the switch could go from the battery connection and has broken off when you charged the battery,if it not from there it will be from the solenoid on the starter,if that checks ok there may be a neutral start switch that needs checking,for advice on lawn tractors go to mytractorforum dot com
