hey guys ive got a 580c that i've got to move 365 miles to my farm i have a 5 ton trailer to move it with realizing that it most defiently wouldnt be able to move the machine as it is (cab 74inch front 24inch back not extendahoe) so i got out my handy dandy manual and it says the machines operating weight is 11,177 which includes the same buckets as mine but with rops and a 175 operator so whats i was thinking was if i was to remove the entire backhoe and front bucket bring that to the farm on one trip then come back and pick up just the tractor its self with no backhoe or front bucket do you think it would be light enough for the trailer? how much do you think the backhoe itself weighs? the trailer has two wet axles under it.
