Thanks AJ. There are two hose clamps on that short section of rubber hose on the suction line. Before my original posting, I saw one was leaking fluid and I tightened it and checked the other also. This may have been part of the problem but it still jerks a little. After reading your comments, I'll further check out those suction lines from end to end. What you say makes sense and may lead to the solution. Thanks.
