Hi all - I have a 1972 Case 885 3 cyl diesel with CAV injector pump. It starts up and idles fine also runs fine just putting around, but after about 10 - 20 mins of real work, it coughs and dies. Then it can't be restarted without a lot of ether, or waiting several hours. I noticed that I can usually keep it running somewhat if I work as low throttle as possible and reach around every now+then pump the primer lever when it starts to falter. Does this sound like a familiar problem with a definite cause or do I have to R+R the whole fuel system?
