I replaced the head gaskets on my M5. When I put it back together I noticed that the motor was spinning faster and with less compression than before. When I removed the heads, I did not remove the push rods. I did however turn the motor over by hand while I was cleaning out the cylinders. The lifters are moving up and down and oil is flowing through the push rods. Valves are also opening and closing without issue.
Could I have messed up the timing somehow??
TIA
Steve
