I'm looking at purchasing a 1961 Minneapolis Moline Model 335 for $3,500. It has a front bucket and rear blade and supposedly the engine is rebuilt. I'm new to the old tractor scene. I'm looking for something to move dirt and be generally useful on my 9 acres. What should I look for? Upon my first look at it, I noticed that moving the throttle up didn't result in the RPM going up as high as I would expect. The seller said it has a governor and will only rev up high when under load. Is this true? Are parts available for these?
thanks for sharing any knowledge you may have.
