In Reply to: REWIRING A 1953 MM-BF AVERY NEED HELP !!!!!!!!!! posted by CLAUDE on Thursday, October 21, 2004:
I have two B. F. Avery tractors. A model 2V, and a model 3V. The wiring is more or less common sense. A starter is very forgiving. It doesn't even care if it is 6 volt or 12 volt. You start at the battery connection, positive ground, and go to the starter first, since that is the biggest juice user. Then your smaller wire goes from the starter solenoid to the switch. You pull the starter lever, which pushes the button on the starter solenoid, turns the starter, and starts the tractor. Hope this helps. What I need is an accurate paint sample of the correct original paint color for the B. F. Avery Model V, before they were sold to MM.
