In Reply to: fuel in oil and low oil pressure posted by Michael Felton on Tuesday, March 23, 2004:
On an 8N the only way that fuel should be in the oil would be if the carburetor was way over fueling, I have never seen this problem with an 8N. However I would suggest to replace the engine oil & filter. If the oil pressure does not raise you might try adding some oil additive such as Lucas Oil Treatment to thicken the oil for better oil pressure. Also the spring for the oil pressure relieve valve might be weak or broken. The things that I listed are the easiest & less expensive to do. Hope this is of some help. Frank at Holz Equipment Service
