Jim – I checked my Jubilee, it is 180 off from yours, my # 1 wire is at the 2 o’clock position and # 4 is at the 8 o’clock position. When I rebuilt the top end I set the distributor rotor to point to the # 1 cylinder when it was TDC on compression by using a screwdriver to move the flywheel to 8 above TDC. BTW when I checked it with a timing lite it was spot on. I guess I could have set the rotor, by pulling the distributor shaft, to point away from # 1 and change the plug wires then it match yours. This all academic anyway as it’ll work both ways.
I’ve had the tractor for about 10 years and since I rebuilt it I can’t believe how well it works, great power, the governor works great, set the rpm you want and it’ll hold it no matter want the load. Henry built one great tractor.
