Thanks for all the info. I think the chains that come on my 8n are way to long. I use it for finish mowing and snow removal with a rear blade. There is way to much travel from side to side. Growing up my dads Ford 4000 had the, what he called, sway bars. They went from under the fender to the lower arm attachement on each side. When cultivating corm it was a must to keep the culivator from swaying from side to side. Even a slight variation would wipe out a bunch of corn. My 8n has no front attachment points. Tried to take the bolts off that they would mount on and they are really on there. I need a bigger wrench I guess but didn't want to break the bolt. Thanks for the info. If any of you could measure your chains and let me know what length they are I'd appreiciate it. That might be 90% of my problem. I've looked on the internet and don't find any references for this.
