I have a ford 8n. I know the serial number is stamped on block to figure out year. problem is i can't make it out. used degreaser wire brush tried to trace but nothing. seems like i read that in 1947 ford went to a 8 lug rear axle instead of 6 lugs. is this right? also my 8n has front mont dist. and the key is not hid under leftside of "hood". my key switch is on left in plain sight so that rules out it being a 1950-52 model right? Any other way to figure out what year?
