somtimes the distribitor shaft bearing gets sloppy from lack of oil since the shaft is lubed from the outside of the distribitor manualy this causes the shaft to wobble and depending on the gap set to the points it will either give you a high speed miss or a low speed miss but alot of times you can correct this by closing the point a tad or opening them a tad depending or your situation in lew of rebuilding your distribitor
