It would help if we knew which 8N you have. Front mount dist or side mount distributor.
most common mistake is getting the spark plug wires back on in the correct order. number one plug is closest to fan and firing order is 1 2 4 3
Check for spark at the plugs. take an old spark plug and open the gap up to 3/16" and clamp to good ground. spark shoud jump it with a nice blue spark.
If you have spark, check for fuel by removing the bottom plug from carb. You should get a nice steady flow of fuel. let ite run a while. should get a pint in a couple of minutes.
larry said you need spark and fuel but you also need compression to start and run.
rough settings on the carb are 1 1/2 turns out on both idle and higdh speed jets. should start and run there.
check for spark and fuel and post back and we will go from there. You WILL get her running.
