That seems awfully fast. I wonder if you don't have a Sherman tranmission in high range and someone removed the lever. Just a thought.
I have one on my NAA. The lever is on the left side forward of the of the transmission. It comes out of a hole in the clutch housing.
I think I read somewhere that there were other over/under setups that were available back in the day too. You could take the starter out and look inside the cluth housing.
