I have an 8n that goes very fast in my opinion. I have looked at it and I see no evidence of a auxiliary transmission like a Sherman. In 1st gear it goes too fast to be useful for my subsoiler as I'm afraid it'll break something if I hit a rock. (Sure enough, I broke a lift arm eye doing just that) In 4th gear, it goes something like 30 miles an hour maybe more. Is this normal?
On my New Holland 1720, I'd have to be in a mid range gear to match the 8N's 1st gear for speed.
Any ideas or suggestions here?
