My side mount 8n has been running a bit poorly lately so I figured it was time to put in a new set of points and condensor, and replace the plugs. Stopped by NAPA and picked up what I thought I needed. Removed caap and replaced point, condensor and put cap back on. Did not run any better. Removed cap and took a look and found the center carbon point was missing. Went back to NAPA and got new cap and installed and she purrs like a kitten. Moral of story, I should have looked before I assumed it was points and bought parts. Owell, at least now she is running real good.
