I've got 2nd and reverse gear locked. Careless shifting. (I've done it before about 15 years ago.) At that time I had to split the tractor, but after searching several forums, I'm not sure if I should split it at the engine or behind the gearbox at the rear wheels.
I've tried all the other remedies listed on forums, but nothing worked, so here I am.
I'm a rank amateur mechanic, but I've had this 8N fully apart 3 times in the 40 years I've had it on my acreage and never had a part left over. It's very interesting if you don't have to make your living at it. Please save me some work. Thanks forward.
