The NAA uses timing gears, no chain. Ross, I would check the simple things first. Are you getting good fuel flow to the carb? There are two screens ahead of the carb. One above the sediment bowl and another up in the tank. BTW, When I replaced my coil I found that it had been wired wrong since who knows when. It ran just fine. Keep us posted.
