I sure am not an expert but read an article a few days ago by this guy wrote who is pretty smart when it comes to old 8n tractors. He said that 90% of the time when they start to act up or quit all together when the tractor warms up it is a coil problem. This guys said when they are cold they are ok but when they get weak they don't work when warm. Just my 2 cents for what it is worth.
