I'm replacing the rear axle seals on a 1952 8n. The Ford parts catalog shows an inner and outer seal. The catalog shows an astragal after the inner seal part number saying (No Longer Serviced). Do I need an inner seal or not? With an inner seal installed how is the axle bearing lubricated? Or is this bearing suppose to be packed? When I removed the axle it sure wasn't packed with grease. The bearing was getting oil but, how can it with the inner seal?
