I always let mine warm up first as with any vehicle you change the oil in. The old filter is in a canister on the left side of the engine. (left if your sitting in the seat) There is a drain plug on the caniter holder so take that plug out to drain the oil out of the filter holder. Then take the top off. There is a nut on the top it just unthreads. You'll see the filter in there. Most have a wire loop handle on them. Grab that and pull it out. It might be hot. Under the motor in the center of your oil pan is a large nut with a large drain hole. Get the right size wrench and take that out to drain the oil. Be carefull it really comes out and if it is hot it can burn and splash. Should be a screan on the large plug when you take it out. Clean that all up and then just reverse what you did. Put the drain plug back, put the oil filter plug back, put in the new filter and then the top of the filter canister. There should be a gasket on the filter caniter lid and also on the drain pug on the oil pan. If your sure you got everything tight get some good oil, use that high milage oil in Penzoil or Valoline. It takes 5 quarts I beleive. Make sure you get a good quality filter. I use Hastings in mine but there are a lot of good ones out there I'm sure. Seems top work well. I use the 10-40 all year round in northern Indiana and it works well. You should stop at a farm store or go on line and get a service manual. They aren't very expensive and will tell you how to do most anything to these old tractors. Good luck.
