Resist the usge to start throwing parts at it. The quiting and starting problems could be totally unrelated, or if it is a bad connection could be the same. start with what you can do without buying parts. Clean the connections. Bad batter ground, no circuit, no circuit no start and engine will not run. Also to rule out the starter solenoid you could jump around it with a jumper cable. large terminal to large terminal. switch off so she will not start and in neutral so she will not roll if it cranks over.
Good Luck
