You say it cranks. Does this meen it is turning over? If it is turning over there is nothing wrong with the starter and solinoid. The solinoid might get warm if you crank it for a while. If it is turning over then you should check and see if you are getting spark at the plugs. If you are not getting spark it is a problem with the coil,point or possibly just a bad connection. Clean up all your electrical contacts. Behind the toolbox under the gas fill area there is a series electrical connections. There is also a resistor there. Bad connecton and faulty resistor might be the problem causing no spark. If it is getting spark at the plug then you have a gas problem. Check your spark at your plug and go from there.
