Jay, I'm sorry but I don't have any experience wiyh that tractor. The only one I know about is the 8N. The transmission shouldn't be too much different. I would take the cover off and look around. You can run it with the cover off if you are careful. If you can it would really pay to get the manual for that tractor. It tells how to repair everything. They cost about $25 -$30 and will pay for them selves quickly. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Billy
