Bought a 9n,was told it was a fully functional worker,so I probably paid to much. But anyways. Long story short, guy shows up with it and it starts right up I run it for about 15- 20 minutes, start it 3 or 4 times, no problems. So this guy leaves then about 10 minutes later it starts smoking from the oil filler tube and spitting a little oil and stalls. I could not get it re-started. Check the plugs (were brand new ones he brought it with) and they are now all oily and black. So today, I replace the plugs, starts right up, after about 30 - 40 min idling in the drive it stalls again. Plugs are covered in oil again. I'm not very mechanical but it seems, like I got took, and the motor needs at least new rings. Any ideas of the cost of this if I have someone do it? Maybe I'm way off, could it be something else? I'm beginning to get the feeling I should spend the big bucks on a compact tractor.
