It must have been if it has bolts. I'm pretty sure they came with studs in them. It will come right off then and you shouldn't have any problem. I got a new manifold on line and wasn't that much if I remember right. Just clean the bolts up and put them back then. I bet they are in good shape. When I got my new one it came with new nuts for the studs. That is why I think it came with studs back in 48. Good luck
