Thanks for the get back, Larry. I'll soak it down with Kroil and give it a shot. The engine is in real good shape and has bolts rather than studs although the head has studs. It's supposed to have been rebuilt not too long ago and by the way it runs I beleave it. Maybe that's why I have bolts. Maybe they ain't rusted yet!!! 8) John
