Not sure about the 9n but my 8n has a resitor on the back of the dash. It is right behind where the key switch is at. That is where all the wires meet at a terminal block. Mine went bad on my 8n and when I replaced it the thing started right up. I had done like you replaced coil, wires,points, plugs and the whole nine yards. Good luck.
