The symtoms you describe indicate a bad coil. When it gets hot the coils short out and when it cools it works again for a while. This is fairly common on those front mount coils. Has it been converted to 12v. with alternator? Read the voltage on the coil wire. It should be about 3 1/2 to 4 volts. Anything over that will burn the coil up. If it has not been converted to 12 v. it likely just went bad. If it has been converted let me know and I can tell you what to do. Billy
