Water mostly enters at the shift rubber boot. You have to replace the boot. You will have to drain all the old stuff out and refill. Be sure and do it when it's above freezing so all the water will come out. There are three drain plugs. One under the transmission, One under the hyd. pump, and one under the differential. It holds about 5 gallons. It calls got pure mineral oil which is about 90 WT. Ford came out with another fluid made for the colder places but I don't know the number. Anyway take out the lower bolt on the side inspection cover(about 8 inches around) and fill until it starts to run out of that hole. Usually about 4 1/2 gallons. Billy
