Keith, grab the rear tires at the top and push in and out to srr id they give. This will tell you if the hubs are good or bad. Should not give. It usually means the hubs are leaking and it will need a set of brakes. Check the tires. They are expensive. Raise the lift with an implement attached. See how long it will hold it up. If it holds for 30 min. or more it's good. Make sure the cluth doesn't slip or stick. Check to see if the transmission hydraulic fluid is milky. If it is it means it's got water in it. These tractor are old and you've got to expect some things being wrong with thwm. It just depends on how much money your willing to spend to put it in a reasonable condition. If you buy it get yourself a FO-4 Manual. It tell everything about the tractor, how to repair it, how to adjust it, and has lots of pctures. Mine has 152 pages. Some of them are shorter and not as through. Billy
