Transmission Will only go into 1st and 2nd gears.
Unable to shift into 3rd or 4th or reverse. Also unable to shift lever to starter position.
I Start it by bypassing the starter switch to the starter cable with a booter cable.
Worked fine before, but I was using a brush hog that seems to big for it and as this tractor always has the pto turning I would have to slow down the revs in order to shift to reverse. I took the brush hog off hoping it would somehow act normal, but still can't shift. I removed the gear lever and the three slots seem in line o.k. but somehow the ones on the left seemed jambed and won't move.
Hydraulic lifts o.k. Any suggestionswould be appreciated. Lawrence
