scott, im guessing that you are dealing with a front mount distributor. they usually get broke cause theyre put in 180 degrees off. the flange on the back is off-set-its not in the center of the distributor. this way you cant put it in wrong unless you jam the bolts down and break the flange. im wondering if you have the new one installed right. if not that might be your problem.
